Pauline Madden - Head Coach & Safeguarding Officer

Head Coach Pauline Madden has played netball for over 47 years, umpired for over 20 years and coached for the past 5 years, gaining her England Netball Level 2 Coaching qualification just in 2020. She has recently achieved her Walking Netball Host qualification, Mental Health First Aid qualification and recently been appointed as coach for the South Staffordshire U13 development pathway.

Pauline also gives her time working in the community, coaching Year 3, 4, 5, & 6 children at a local Primary School, hosting a local Walking Netball Session, and is also involved in delivering a 24 week programme to service users with mental health illness in collaboration with Sports Birmingham funded by Comic Relief.

The club was nominated for Club of the year and Pauline as Coach of the year for young adults in the 2022 One Awards held at Aston Villa Football Club in May.

Netball is her passion and her three daughters also play.

She is a keen runner and goes out running every day running 3 – 5 miles with her little dog.

Her other interests include Formula 1, football, rugby union, cricket and athletics.

She doesn't watch huge amounts of TV but any sports channels are always welcome showing netball or her beloved Aston Villa.

Big music fan and enjoys all genres including Coldplay, 70’s disco music, cheesy party floor fillers, anything goes.
